Sales Support Engineer - Water Treatment

We are currently looking for a Sales Support Engineer to join our team.  This role will be responsible for providing technical expertise to the Technical Products Water Treatment Business Development team to support acquisition of new customers and service existing customers in the Water Treatment market.

This position can be remote and located anywhere in the US; requires 50% travel


  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and value proposition  to customers and prospective customers
  • Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles
  • Provide market feedback and recommendations to R&D on product improvements and  new product development
  • Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer needs
  • Work closely with cross functional team (R&D, Program Management,  Marketing, Operations, Finance, Customer Service)  to support customer project requirements
  • Collect and document competitive market intelligence, contribute to the innovation process with product ideas and market opportunities
  • Support customers with processing of RFQs and other information and/or sample requests in a timely manner
  • Complete requested accounts reports and other requested information in a timely manner
  • Assist marketing in the development of collateral and other marketing information to ensure it uses accepted industry terminology     


  • A high level of organizational skills and the ability to work remotely and independently.
  • Minimum 3years technical application support in the Water Treatment industry, preference in biotechnology based systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) are essential, along with attention to detail.
  • Must possess proficient computer skills and be capable in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project and PowerPoint.)
  • B.S Engineering or other relevant technical degree from an accredited university
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a valid passport.


  • Strong Technical and Customer Relationship skills
  • Background in the Water Treatment or related industry, including in-depth system integration experience
  • Strong cross-functional team skills operating in a matrix environment and drive to succeed
  • Proven experience in solution sales support in a Business-to-Business organization
