Master Scheduler - Tupelo, MS

PRINCIPLE JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  Responsible for Inventory Management, ERP Performance, and high level scheduling of master blocks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews sales order and sales history to determine amount of inventory needed to fulfill orders as desired.
  • Utilizes the available floor space to maximize material performance and meet customer orders.
  • Communicates with Logistics to arrange shipment of material to customer internal and external.
  • Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
  • Computes amount of material required to complete job orders.
  • Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials.
  • Responsible for month end inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Responsible for monitoring the performance of floor level system transactions and implementing processes to eliminate errors.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software and Manufacturing software.
