Job Purpose:

As a Business Partner, and change agent, work closely with Management to accomplish company goals.  Administers and coordinates Human Resources support services through the maintenance of records, policies and procedures.  Supports benefits administration and maintains the company documentation for company’s HRIS system.  Compile and maintain personnel records, and drive Employee Engagement activities.  This position reports directly to the Regional Director, Human Resources, and supports 2 operations locations in United States; Tupelo, MS and Houston, TX.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day administration, communication and implementation of HR policies and programs at the assigned manufacturing plant(s).
  • Objectively coach employees and management through routine and complex employee relations matters.
  • Develop and implement employee relations strategies, programs, and activities designed to enhance an environment that drives maximum individual and team success.
  • Accurately process hourly and salary payroll per company process.
  • Lead recruiting efforts for all hourly associate positions, partnering with corporate Talent Acquisition on salaried roles.
  • Responsible for engaged and successful employee on-boarding and assimilation.
  • Counsel Managers and employees to be consistent with FXI policies; collective bargaining agreement and processes.
  • Identify and facilitate change management initiatives partnering with the leadership team to effectively communicate business strategies, goals, values, and performance expectations.
  • Actively plan and participate in plant/employee meetings.
  • Minimal travel required; primarily for corporate events.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment; supporting multi-site operations preferred.
  • Verified experience working in a union environment; investigating and resolving grievances through collaborative relationship with union stewards and business agents.
  • Verified experience with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems; preferably ADP.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; PHR or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Strong background in Human Resources strategic planning, continuous improvement principles, best practice identification and implementation.
  • Posses strong business acumen; ability to articulate processes, customers and state of business; effective communication skills, both verbal and presentation.
  • Ability to collaborate and partner with plant leadership to drive an engaged culture and improvements.

  • Simultaneously manage multiple priorities.
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • Must have valid US Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and initiate improvements within FXI guidelines.
